Arizona: Knaperek Gets Nod From Ex-State House Speaker

Former state Rep. Laura Knaperek has picked up the support of ex-state Speaker Mark Killian in her bid for the 5th district GOP nomination.

Knaperek is running in a crowded primary in the Republican-leaning Phoenix-area seat won by Rep. Harry Mitchell (D) in 2006.

Standing in her way in the Sept. 2 contest are former state Rep. Mark Anderson, state Corporation Commissioner Jeff Hatch-Miller, lobbyist Jim Ogsbury and Maricopa County Treasurer David Schweikert.
