New Mexico: McCamley Expands His List of Local Supporters

Doña Ana County Commissioner Bill McCamley has received the backing of more local officials in his bid for the Democratic nomination in the southern New Mexico 2nd district.

Former state Rep. J. Paul Taylor, former Capitan Mayor Benny Coker, Socorro County Commission Chairman Jay Santillanes and Sierra County Commissioner Walter Armijo have all endorsed McCamley.

Joining McCamley in the Democratic primary are former Lea County Commissioner Harry Teague, businessman Frank McKinnon, and minister Al Kissling. The Republican-leaning 2nd district is being vacated by Rep. Steve Pearce (R), who is running for Senate.
