New Mexico: Fraternal Order of Police Backs Udall’s Senate Bid

Rep. Tom Udall (D) has been endorsed by the New Mexico Fraternal Order of Police in his bid for Senate against Rep. Steve Pearce (R).

“Tom Udall has spent his career serving the citizens of New Mexico. He has a proven record of supporting laws that protect our citizens and he has always been a strong supporter of law enforcement,” FOP President Bill Standridge said in a statement released by the Udall campaign.

Udall served two terms as state attorney general before being elected to Congress in 1998. Pearce, who represents the 2nd district, and Udall, who holds the 3rd district, are vying for the seat being vacated by Sen. Pete Domenici (R), who is retiring.
