Stevens to Be Arraigned Thursday

Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens (R) will be arraigned Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

A federal grand jury indicted Stevens on seven counts of false statements for filing incorrect financial disclosures to hide more than $250,000 in gifts he received over an eight-year period.

The Alaskan, who denied wrongdoing Tuesday, will appear before Judge Emmet Sullivan at 1 p.m., according to court documents.
