18 Arrested Tuesday in Denver

Denver Police arrested 18 people as of 6 p.m. MDT Tuesday, bringing the total arrests related to the Democratic National Convention to 135.

Most of those arrested were charged with interference, begging or loitering. At least one arrest was from Operation Rescue, an anti-abortion group that has organized civil disobedience events throughout this week. Joseph Landry, 27, of Alexandria, Va., was charged with interference and loitering.

Most of the arrests this week occurred Monday evening at Civic Center Park, where a few police officers used pepper spray on a group of protesters they say rushed the police line. In total, officers arrested 106 people at the park. Their names were released today and are available on denvergov.org/MEDIAPAGE.
