Pennsylvania: Giuliani to Raise Cash for English Next Week

Former New York Mayor and presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani (R) is scheduled to visit northwestern Pennsylvania to host a fundraiser for vulnerable Rep. Phil English (R).

Giuliani will headline an evening event on Oct. 20 at the Manufacturer and Business Association conference center, a venue that holds about 250 people. English campaign spokesman Adam Beebe said ticket costs start at $100 and all the money will go to the Congressman’s re-election campaign.

Although English has safely held on to his seat for seven terms, he trails businesswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (D) in recent public polls. A recent SurveyUSA poll showed Dahlkemper leading English, 49 percent to 45 percent with 6 percent undecided. The automated survey commissioned by Roll Call questioned 618 likely 3rd district voters Sept. 26-29 and had a margin of error of 4 points.
