Details of Lame Duck Coming Together

House Democratic leaders are planning on the lame-duck session running from Nov. 17 through Nov. 21, with a vote on an economic stimulus package most likely to occur on Nov. 17 or 18, according to a Democratic aide whose office has been in talks with party leaders. The aide said it still is unclear what the final economic package will contain, but that a lame-duck session “will definitely be happening.”
