Brown Hangs On in South Carolina

After a late-breaking election scare, Rep. Henry Brown (R-S.C.) is headed back to Congress for a fifth term.

Brown held off a challenge from businesswoman Linda Ketner (D) Tuesday night. The Associated Press called the race for Brown, who had 57 percent of the vote with 54 percent of precincts reporting.

Brown has not faced a difficult race since entering the House, but national Democrats sunk late money into the 1st district race as Republicans were increasingly worried about polling data that showed Brown on shaky ground.
