McConnell Hangs On But Sununu Loses

Media outlets are projecting that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has held off a tough challenge from health care executive Bruce Lunsford (D).

But Republicans are already down two seats at this hour: former New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D) has been projected as the winner against Sen. John Sununu (R-N.H.) in their rematch. And in Virginia, Gov. Mark Warner (D) has been projected as the winner in the race to replace retiring Sen. John Warner (R).
