Chabot Loses; Democratic Gains at 15

Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) has withstood several tough challenges over the years in his conservative, urban district, but state Rep. Steve Driehaus (D) proved too much for the seven-term Congressman. With 99 percent of precincts reporting and Driehaus with a 4-point lead in polls, Cincinnati papers called the race for the Democrat. Driehaus’ victory brings Democratic gains to 15 House seats with at least 10 races still too close to call as of 3:45 Wednesday morning.
