Nussle Interested in Being Next RNC Head

Jim Nussle, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, is in the running to head the Republican National Committee. Nussle, a loyal GOP partisan, formerly served in the House, where he chaired the Budget Committee.

“Director Nussle is content serving the president but would be honored to be considered during this critical time for Republicans,” said a GOP aide close to Nussle.

Nussle would succeed Mike Duncan, who was elected to the post in 2007 and who is set to leave the RNC at the end of the year.
