NRSC Web Ad Focuses on Georgia

The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Monday released a new Web advertisement focused on the importance of the runoff in Georgia, painting the race between Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) and former state Rep. Jim Martin (D) as the final barrier to Democrats reaching 60 seats in the chamber.

The Web-based ad is titled “It All Comes Down To Georgia” and warns viewers not to give Democrats a rubber-stamp Senate majority, considering the fact that Democratic President-elect Obama is set to take office in January. “If Martin wins, that gets the Democrats that much closer to 60 in the Senate, and at 60, they can do just about anything they want,” the voiceover announcer says in the ad.
