White House chiefs of staff are not often treated like rock stars, but that appears to be changing with President-elect Barack Obama tapping Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) for the job. Emanuel’s press event in the Capitol Crypt on Thursday drew more than just reporters — he was surrounded by fans hoping to snap a picture of Obama’s fellow Illinois legislator.
