Top GOP Appropriators Named

House Appropriations ranking member Jerry Lewis (R-Calif.) on Thursday announced the new Appropriations subcommittee ranking members for the 111th Congress.

The full Republican Conference must now approve the 12 recommendations.

• Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.): Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies

• Rep. Frank Wolf (Va.): Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies

• Rep. Bill Young (Fla.): Defense Subcommittee

• Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (N.J.): Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, and Related Agencies

• Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (Mo.): Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government

• Rep. Hal Rogers (Ky.): Homeland Security Subcommittee

• Rep. Mike Simpson (Idaho): Subcommittee on Interior, Environment and Related Agencies

• Rep. Todd Tiahrt (Kan.): Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies

• Rep. Robert Aderholt (Ala.): Legislative Branch Subcommittee

• Rep. Zach Wamp (Tenn.): Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies

• Rep. Kay Granger (Texas): Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs

• Rep. Tom Latham (Iowa): Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies
