Switch at Top of NFIB

The National Federation of Independent Business’ top lobbyist Dan Danner will replace the association’s current President and Chief Executive Officer Todd Stottlemyer.

The change, effective Feb. 1, comes just three years into Stottlemyer’s tenure leading the small-business association.

Currently, Danner oversees NFIB’s government affairs and political activities, as well as its three 501(c)3 operations.

Danner, a former Reagan administration aide, has been with the NFIB for the past 15 years. Prior to joining the association in 1993, he was chief of staff at the Commerce Department.

The association has not decided who will replace Danner as lead of the trade group’s government affairs team, according to spokesman Mike Diegel.
