Former Top DCCC Operative Moves to Polling Firm

After being a key player in House Democrats’ 50-seat gain over the last two election cycles, Jon Vogel is moving to the consulting world. The former top Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee aide is now a partner with the polling firm Global Strategy Group. Vogel began last cycle as the DCCC’s political director and then moved to become director of the committee’s $85 million independent expenditure program. In 2006, he was the DCCC’s Northeast and Florida regional political director. He previously worked on Capitol Hill as Rep. Steve Israel’s (D-N.Y.) deputy chief of staff and with Democratic direct-mail gurus Jim Crounse and Kevin Mack.
