Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) apparently isn’t on board with efforts by the National Republican Senatorial Committee to consolidate party support behind the Senate candidacy of Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R).

According to CNN, Huckabee, a leading voice in the conservative wing of his party, is set to endorse former Florida Speaker Marco Rubio, a fellow conservative who is challenging Crist for the Republican Senate nomination.

The announcement will come sometime in mid-June.

Meanwhile, Rubio announced on Twitter Wednesday morning that Jeb Bush Jr., the son of the state’s former governor, was backing his Senate bid.

“Proud to announce the endorsement of Jeb Bush Jr.,— Rubio wrote. “He will be a great asset in our efforts to reach the next generation of GOP leadership.—

Jeb Bush Sr. was the first Republican that national party leaders looked to after Sen. Mel Martinez (R) announced he would not seek re-election in 2010. When Bush declined their entreaties to run, they turned their attention to Crist.
