Arizona: Giffords’ Opponent Touts Hill Support

Marine Corps veteran and construction company executive Jesse Kelly (R), who is hoping to knock off Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D) in 2010, announced endorsements from three Members on his newly revamped campaign Web site.

Kelly has endorsements from GOP Reps. Trent Franks (Ariz.), Duncan Hunter (Calif.) and Frank Wolf (Va.).

Despite the support from Capitol Hill, Kelly doesn’t have the GOP primary to himself. Veteran Andy Goss (R) is also in the race.

Despite her 12-point victory in 2008, Republicans believe Giffords is vulnerable in a district that President Barack Obama lost by 6 points last year.
