Biden Hits Road to Tout Stimulus

Vice President Joseph Biden will kick off what the White House is billing as his “Road to Recovery— tour on Thursday, traveling to communities across the country to highlight stimulus bill projects.

Congressional Democrats have been demanding a more public role from the White House in touting the stimulus and its effects on job creation.

Biden will travel Thursday to Carlisle, Pa., where he will attend a groundbreaking ceremony for a bridge along with Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.). Biden will also travel to Overland Park, Kan., where he will attend the launch of a highway project along with Health and Human Services Secretary and former Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

On Friday, Biden will be in Kalamazoo, Mich., to attend a similar event with Michigan Democratic Sens. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow.
