All four of the House Intelligence subcommittees will hold hearings in September to investigate why the CIA misled Congress for years over a secret counterterrorism program.“Each one is taking a slice of it,— according to an Intelligence Democrat. Details have since emerged that suggest former Vice President Dick Cheney directed the CIA to hide the program from Congress.The subcommittees will hold closed and public hearings, according to the Intelligence member, who requested not to be named.
