Kansas: GOP Field Could Grow for Tiahrt’s Open Seat

Another Republican appears to be thinking about running for the seat currently held by Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R), who is running for Senate.

According to a report in the Wichita Eagle, state Sen. Jean Schodorf (R) has opened an exploratory committee to run for the Wichita-based district.

Schodorf would join an already-crowded GOP field, which includes Republican National Committeeman Mike Pompeo and state Sen. Dick Kelsey. State Rep. Raj Goyle is running for the Democratic nomination.
