Hutchison Confirms Plans to Resign Seat This Fall

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) confirmed Wednesday that she will resign her seat this fall to run for governor, but she declined to offer a firm date for her exit.Hutchison told reporters on Capitol Hill this afternoon that she intends to formally announce her 2010 candidacy for Texas governor next month.
