We’ll leave the literary musings to the experts, but HOH can tell you this about Sen. Barbara Boxer’s second novel, “Blind Trust—: There’s no sex.

[IMGCAP(1)]The California Democrat’s first fictional effort, “A Time to Run,— got attention for a few steamy scenes. But her new book, authored with Mary-Rose Hayes, is devoid (sadly, in HOH’s opinion) of even R-rated action.

“A Time to Run— even notably featured an image of horses in flagrante delicto (the prose refers to it as a “majestic coupling—). Again, there’s no horseplay in Boxer’s latest book, only a hinted-at lesbian affair (between the Senator’s chief of staff and an al-Qaida operative).

Sigh. It’s still on our summer reading list, as we’re certain it’s more of a page-turner than the other new book by a Senator: Jim DeMint’s (R-S.C.) “Saving Freedom: We Can Stop America’s Slide into Socialism.—
