Former Rep. Jim Traficant, whose penchant for denim suits, outrageous toupees and, OK, corruption made him an HOH favorite, is set to be released from prison Sept. 3.

About 1,000 tickets have been sold for a Sept. 6 welcome-home event for the former Congressman, organizer and former Traficant staffer Linda Kovachik told Vindy.com.

But the $20 admission price won’t get you a sighting of the newly freed Traficant, who “has told friends that he wants to stay out of the spotlight when he is released from prison, [and] is unlikely to attend the event,— the story says.
