HOH’s One-Minute Recess: Post-Recess Jolt

If your drug of choice hails from Colombia (uh, we’re talking about coffee here, people), you’re in luck.

[IMGCAP(1)]The country’s serving up free cups of joe as part of its “Discover Colombia Through Its Heart— exhibit at Union Station, starting Saturday and running through Sept. 15. Cushion the blow of returning from recess starting at 8 a.m. in the main hall of the station.

An organizer tells HOH that they won’t just be handing out Dixie cups of lukewarm Sanka, either: Colombian coffeemaker Juan Valdez brought in coffeemaking equipment from New York to assure that the gratis java is up to the company’s snuff.

In addition to the coffee giveaway, the Colombian exhibit includes free flowers on Sept. 8, musical performances throughout the stay and an art exhibit.
