Democrats to Offer Wilson Resolution Tuesday

House Democratic leaders will bring forward a resolution Tuesday to formally reprimand Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) for shouting “You lie!— at President Barack Obama during his health care speech to a joint session of Congress last week.Top Democrats met Monday night and gave a green light to the resolution, something they planned to introduce if Wilson refused to apologize to Members for his outburst. Wilson apologized to Obama, but some lawmakers want an apology on the floor for violating House rules of conduct. Wilson has refused.House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) is expected to introduce the measure in the afternoon, according to a senior House Democratic aide.
