Biden Sweeps Into Nevada to Support Reid

Vice President Joseph Biden is sweeping into Nevada on Friday in an effort to boost the re-election prospects of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D), who faces a tough struggle for re-election. Biden will attend a fundraiser for Reid in Reno at midday. Then Biden and Reid will appear at the University of Nevada, Reno, to discuss the implementation of the economic stimulus bill.Biden, who has already been avidly working the fundraising circuit for Democratic candidates, will fly home to Wilmington, Del., this evening.President Barack Obama is also out west: He attended a Democratic National Committee fundraising event in San Francisco on Thursday night. Obama on Friday will leave San Francisco for Houston, where he will participate with former President George H.W. Bush in an event for Points of Light, an organization that promotes volunteerism. The president returns to Washington on Friday night.
