DCCC Outraises NRCC by 2 to 1 in September

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised twice as much as its GOP counterpart in September, raking in more than $7 million and ending the month with more than $14.7 million stockpiled for the 2010 midterm elections. The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $3.4 million in September ­­— its second-highest monthly take this year. The NRCC will also report $4.3 million in cash on hand, less than one-third of the DCCC’s bank account total.However, the DCCC had twice as much debt, about $4 million compared with the NRCC’s $2 million as of Sept. 30. The DCCC had more than $3 million in expenditures for September, while the NRCC spent about $3.3 million last month.The House and Senate political party committees’ monthly fundraising reports are due to be filed with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday.
