NRCC Raises $3.4 Million in September

The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $3.4 million in September and will report having $4.3 million in cash on hand at the end of last month. The NRCC’s September fundraising represents the committee’s second-highest monthly take this year, behind the almost $5.3 million raised in March, when House Republicans hosted their annual fundraising dinner. The NRCC will also report spending $3.3 million last month and will show $2 million in debt as of Sept. 30. The House and Senate political party committees’ monthly fundraising reports are due to be filed with the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday. “Our continued and steady improvement in grass-roots fundraising is just one of the many encouraging signs that the policies of a Democrat-run Washington are mobilizing Americans to take action and support our efforts,— NRCC spokesman Paul Lindsay said.A spokesman at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee declined to release his committee’s fundraising numbers. House Democrats reported raising $3.3 million in August and boasted $10.7 million in cash on hand at the end of that month.
