Bipartisan CODEL Heading to Fort Hood

A bipartisan group of Senators will travel to Fort Hood, Texas, on Tuesday to attend a memorial service honoring the 13 victims killed last week when a soldier opened fire on the Army base. Texas GOP Sens. Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn will be joined by a handful of their Senate colleagues, including Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.), for the ceremony. President Barack Obama also will attend. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who is not part of the delegation, announced that the Senate will observe a moment of silence Tuesday to honor the victims and their families.
