Donahue to Launch New GOP Media Firm

Brian Donahue, the loquacious executive vice president of Jamestown Associates, has left the prominent GOP media firm to start his own group. Donahue and Justin Germany, the former director of online media for Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) presidential bid, have formed Craft Media Digital. The new firm will provide television, direct mail, digital and online services, and it is expected to announce additional hires next week. “Craft will create new approaches and integrate communication strategies for clients, so that the delivery of their message becomes a seamless, thought-provoking experience that engenders action,— Donahue wrote in an e-mail to his friends and colleagues. One of Donahue’s most often-discussed clients, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), will go with Donahue to his new firm, and the GOP operative said he will continue to work with some of his other well-known clients, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his tenure at Jamestown, Donahue has worked on several federal races and was the national 72-hour director at the Republican National Committee. Prior to the McCain campaign, Germany specialized in online video at the online GOP media firm Campaign Solutions.
