Colorado: Perlmutter Not Running for Governor

Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D) will seek re-election in the Denver-area 7th district rather than make a run for governor.

Perlmutter’s decision Monday was not a surprise. He is better-positioned to win re-election in the 7th district, which includes some Democratic-leaning suburbs of Denver, than he is to win a campaign to succeed retiring Gov. Bill Ritter (D).
