Landra Reid’s Condition Upgraded

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) wife is out of the intensive care unit and her condition has been upgraded to “good,” the Las Vegas Sun reported Saturday.

Landra Reid had been in serious condition after a car crash Thursday. The couple’s daughter, Lana Reid Barringer, was injured as well, but she has been released from the hospital.

Landra Reid, 69, is at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., where she underwent surgery. She suffered a broken back and neck, among other injuries, in a four-car accident on Interstate 95 in suburban Virginia.

The Sun quoted Landra Reid’s doctor as saying additional surgery probably would not be needed and that she might be released within days.

Reid, who is in tough re-election fight, plans to continue campaigning, the newspaper reported.
