Arizona: NRCC Adds Paton to Young Guns’ Program
The National Republican Congressional Committee has added House candidate Jonathan Paton to its “Young Guns” program.
Paton, a former state Senator, resigned to run for the 8th district seat.
He is fighting with three other Republicans for the nomination but is the favorite in the eyes of many in party leadership.
The winner of the Aug. 24 primary will face sophomore Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, one of the Democrats in the eye of the health care storm leading up to the House’s vote on the legislation.
