Pelosi Hosts Family, Key Officials to Watch Health Care Vote

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is hosting family members and key administration officials in her guest section in the House gallery to watch Sunday night’s historic vote on health care reform.

Pelosi’s husband Paul, her daughters Nancy and Alexandra, and her son-in-law Michael Vos will sit in the Speaker’s section. Several Obama administration officials who have played a role in advancing health care reform will also be Pelosi’s guests. They include Christina Romer, Mark Duggan and Jason Furman of the Council of Economic Advisors; Zeke Emanuel of the Office of Management and Budget; and Nancy-Ann DeParle of the White House Office of Health Care Reform.

Several key advocates for reform will also be in attendance, courtesy of Pelosi. They include Gordon Whitman of PICO, Richard Kirsch of Health Care for America Now, Robert Hall of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Rich Trumka of the AFL-CIO, Dr. Willarda Edwards of the National Medical Association and Ari Matusiak of Young Invincibles Want Change.
