New York: Senor Decides Against Run for Gillibrand Seat

Dan Senor, former adviser to President George W. Bush, on Wednesday added his name to the list of Republicans passing on a challenge to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D).

In a statement, Senor said he “took a very serious look” at the Senate race but “ultimately decided this wasn’t the right time in my family and business life for me to run.”

Senor likely would have presented a more serious challenge to Gillibrand than the three Republicans currently in the race — former Port Authority Commissioner Bruce Blakeman, former Rep. Joe DioGuardi and economist David Malpass.
