Tea Party Arriving in Reid’s Hometown

The Tea Party Express is launching a 42-city bus tour on Saturday in the tiny hometown of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). The Associated Press reported that the organization of conservative activists predicted 10,000 people would join the event in the desert town of Searchlight, Nev.

Reid, who is up for re-election this year, is a top target of Republicans and a particular focus of anger among grass-roots conservatives.

Former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is scheduled to address the gathering. She campaigned for the re-election of Sen. John McCain, her 2008 running mate, in Arizona on Saturday.

The tea party bus tour is scheduled to conclude on April 15 in Washington, D.C.
