West Virginia: Anti-Abortion Group’s Radio Ad Hits Mollohan

An anti-abortion group has initiated a $30,000 radio campaign against Rep. Alan Mollohan, who faces a serious challenge in the May 11 Democratic primary.

Susan B. Anthony List is airing the ad, which says that Mollohan’s vote for the health care law “forces us to pay for the death of unborn children. He should be ashamed.” The ad will air about 800 times over the next week on a variety of stations.

Mollohan said ahead of the health care vote that the bill included strong anti-abortion provisions.

Mollohan is being challenged in the primary by anti-abortion state Sen. Mike Oliverio.
