HOH’s One-Minute Recess: I Scream, You Scream

It’s the dippiest day of the year on Capitol Hill: The International Dairy Foods Association is throwing its 28th annual ice cream party this afternoon in Upper Senate Park.

At the eagerly anticipated event (it’s the unofficial kickoff to summer in Washington), Members of Congress and staffers will be gobbling up free sundaes, ice cream scoops and root beer floats from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The organization says in a press release that it has 1,600 gallons of ice cream and frozen yogurt at the ready.

Because who says a Wednesday can’t be a sundae?
