HOH’s One-Minute Recess: Get Absolutely Ripped

Feeling like you packed on a few extra pounds during the July Fourth recess? Then consider signing up for Saturday’s National Press Club Beat the Deadline 5K, which will be headlined by Congress’ favorite fitness guru, P90X creator Tony Horton.

Horton — whose Capitol Hill fans include Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) and Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) — will serve as the honorary marshal of the race, which raises money for the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library. Horton will speak at the press club Friday afternoon and then hold an open workout for race contestants Saturday.

The instructor is taking his role seriously — he’s even posting tips on the press club’s website designed to guide runners into top shape for the 3.1-mile race.

In Case You Missed It …

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) married love Huma Abedin on Saturday at Oheka Castle in Long Island in a ceremony that was officiated by former President Bill Clinton. Abedin, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal aide, wore a gown designed by Oscar de la Renta.
