HOH’s One-Minute Recess: Watch Out, Diana Ross

Updated: 3:35 p.m.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi ushered through health care reform, climate change legislation and new financial regulations … but could leading an all-female singing group be next on her agenda?

HOH hears the California Democrat joined fellow Democratic Reps. Diane Watson (Calif.), Betsy Markey (Colo.) and Donna Edwards (Md.) and Mary Wilson of the Supremes on stage to sing “Stop! In the Name of Love” at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s Women LEAD Dinner at the W Hotel on Tuesday night. An HOH spy on hand says the women were singing, um, a tad off tune but certainly having fun.

Our spy notes Wilson at one point even pulled DCCC staffer Bob Fenity on stage to dance with the girl group.

“The Women LEAD event was a celebration of Democratic women activists, supporters, Members and candidates, and everyone had a great time dancing and singing along with Mary Wilson,” DCCC spokesman Ryan Rudominer tells HOH.
