Vice President Joseph Biden, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Appropriations Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) will all pay tribute to the late Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) during his funeral Thursday.

According to Stevens’ family, all four officials will speak at his funeral, which will be attended by a host of current and former Senators, Congressmen, governors and former dignitaries.

Current Senators attending the funeral include Mark Begich (D-Alaska) — who ended Stevens’ political career in 2008 — Bob Bennett (R-Utah), Kit Bond (R-Mo.), Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) and Arlen Specter (D-Pa.).

Reps. Don Young (R-Alaska) and Norm Dicks (D-Wash.) will also attend, as will former Sens. Howard Baker (R-Tenn.), Norm Coleman (R-Minn.), Al D’Amato (R-N.Y.), Pete Domenici (R-N.M.), Nancy Kassebaum (R-Kansas) and John Sununu (R-N.H.). Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell (R) will attend the funeral, as will former Govs. Sarah Palin (R), Frank Murkowski (R) and Tony Knowles (D), as will senior generals from all four branches of the military.

Foreign dignitaries attending the services include Lu Wenxiang, deputy consul general of China in San Francisco; Zhang Hao, vice consul of China in San Francisco; and Princess Mahina Raputuki, a diplomat from Easter Island.

Mourners began paying their respects Monday at a public viewing at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Anchorage. The funeral will take place Wednesday at the Anchorage Baptist Temple.

Stevens, 86, died last week in a plane crash in rural Alaska. His family has asked that well-wishers make donations to the North to the Future Foundation.
