Biden Recycles Sestak Compliment for Another Race

Vice President Joseph Biden declared Monday that there is nobody with “more character” than Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland (D). But one person could take issue: Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) got the same compliment from Biden last week.

During a Dayton fundraiser for Strickland’s re-election campaign, the vice president said the governor’s unmatched character has been on full display as Strickland guides Ohio out of the “greatest recession” in history, according to pool reports.

But Biden’s accolades were a repeat of what he said Sept. 13 about Sestak, who is running for Pennsylvania’s open Senate seat. Biden told attendees at a Philadelphia fundraiser that Sestak’s character sets him apart from all other Democrats on the campaign trail.

“I can say I have never campaigned for a man with more character, integrity and capacity than the man I am campaigning for here tonight,” the vice president said then.
