Reid Caps Month With Another Fundraiser

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is asking lobbyists to contribute to his re-election bid at least one more time before Congress leaves town for the remainder of the midterm campaign.

According to a copy of an e-mail invitation sent out by Reid campaign operative Josh Alcorn, the Majority Leader is scheduled to hold a luncheon fundraiser Thursday in Washington, D.C. It is being billed as the final event of September. Suggested donations range from $1,000 to $2,500, which is standard for political action committee fundraisers.

Reid, facing a tough challenge from former state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle (R), has held at least four other D.C. fundraisers since Congress reconvened from the August recess.
