House Democratic leaders will send their rank and file home this week armed with pre-election talking points stressing that the upcoming midterm elections are a choice between moving America forward or the “exact same” agenda.

Documents prepared by Democratic leadership and obtained by Roll Call feature the messaging slogan. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her leadership team are also providing Members with fact sheets and a suggested op-ed related to Democrats’ efforts to boost jobs and bolster the stagnant economy. As part of the effort, Democrats will stress the “GOP Record on Shipping Jobs Overseas,” and contrast it with their own efforts to close tax loopholes and pass their “Make It in America” manufacturing jobs initiative.

Leaders will furnish Members with fodder to take aim at the House GOP’s new governing agenda, called “A Pledge to America,” and at the GOP “record of failure” on fiscal issues.

Democratic leaders will also provide the rank and file with handouts detailing the party’s efforts to aid small businesses, strengthen and protect Social Security and enact patient protections as part of the new health care law.
