First Lady to Stump for Blumenthal

First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to visit Connecticut later this month to support state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal’s (D) Senate bid.

While the details are still being worked out, the campaign reports that Obama will attend a campaign event in the Nutmeg State on Oct. 18.

President Barack Obama stumped for Blumenthal in Connecticut in mid-September, his first and only trip on Blumenthal’s behalf this cycle.

Blumenthal led Republican opponent Linda McMahon, a former wrestling executive, by double digits in various polls released in recent days, although the RealClearPolitics.com polling average gives Blumenthal an 8.2-point lead.
