Obama to Hold Oval Office Meeting With Rice on Friday

President Barack Obama will host Condoleezza Rice, President George W. Bush’s secretary of State, for a meeting Friday afternoon.

The White House announced the Oval Office meeting Thursday, and spokesman Tommy Vietor told the Washington Post that the two would “discuss a range of foreign-policy issues.”

Vietor said the meeting was scheduled because Rice happened to be in Washington. She has been promoting her new memoir, “Extraordinary, Ordinary People.”
