Heard on the Hill: Moving Back In With Dad
Sure, he promises not to cook, but will he set a curfew?
In a New York Times profile of Rep. Ron Paul on Sunday, the Texas Republican reveals that he and his son, Sen.-elect Rand Paul (R-Ky.), are going to be roommates during the new Congress. Paul the younger is moving into Paul the elder’s Virginia condominium.
Rand Paul, a married father of three, sees the humor in living with his dad again.
“Parents often worry about their post-college-age kids coming back to live with them,” Rand Paul tells HOH. “I think it took my dad by surprise when his 47-year-old called to move back in.”
Ron Paul joked to the New York Times that the living arrangements were fine “as long as he didn’t expect me to cook.” And that’s OK with his son.
“When my dad said not to expect him to cook, I was relieved,” Rand Paul jokes.
