Biden, Cummings to Discuss Oversight Issues

Vice President Joseph Biden will sit down with House Oversight and Government Reform ranking member Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) on Thursday morning, according to Biden’s schedule.

The two are slated to discuss “oversight issues” at 11:30 a.m. They will likely talk about how to counter the committee’s new chairman, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who is expected to take an aggressive stance in investigating federal programs and to beef up the panel’s subpoena power.
