The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was taken off the Feb. 22 mayoral ballot in Chicago. The Sun-Times reports the 2-1 decision from an appellate panel found that Emanuel, a former representative, does not meet residency requirements.

He’d won several rounds in court after showing photos of junk stored in his attic when he moved to Washington, D.C., to work for President Barack Obama.

The Chicago Tribune reports:

The Illinois appellate court has issued a ruling saying the Chicago election board’s decision that Rahm Emanuel is eligible to be on the ballot should be “reversed.”

The Sun-Times reports that Emanuel will appeal the case to the Illinois Supreme Court.
